The Chico High football team, before a game against Foothill earlier this season, will host rival Pleasant Valley in the first round of the Northern Section Division I playoffs. The Panthers beat the Vikings 48 29 nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Joplo-Bartu-Jersey.html on Nov. 1 at University Stadium, where next Friday's game could be played, but the site hasn't been determined yet.

But the road to a large school section championship goes through the north.

Enterprise and West Valley grabbed the top seeds in Divisions I and II, respectively, with the release of the playoff brackets at Central Valley High School on Saturday.

In Division I, Enterprise (10 0) and No. 2 Paradise (7 3) both received first round byes. None of the other four seeds hold a winning record with Jacquizz Rodgers Jersey Chico (4 6) selected as third, Shasta (5 5) as fourth, Foothill (3 7) as fifth and Pleasant Valley (4 6) as sixth.

The point formula had PV fifth and Foothill sixth, but the two flipped because the Sean Weatherspoon Kids Jersey Cougars had the head to head tiebreaker.

Las Plumas, which was set to be in the playoffs before the regular season finale, did not have enough playoff points to be in the top six based on league placement. In the seven team Eastern Athletic League, the league placement points are award 12 10 8 6 4 2 0 while the Butte View League, also a seven team league, is 10 8 6 4 2 0 0.

Had the BVL adjusted their bylaws to accommodate the seven team league like the EAL, LP (3 7) would be in the playoffs, Northern Section football chairman Matt Hunsaker said. One of the reasons the BVL didn't adopt the same point structure for league finish is due to the league Sean Weatherspoon Authentic Jersey having less D I teams, Hunsaker said.

That leaves one first round matchup as PV at Chico for an Almond Bowl rematch from Nov. 1, a Panthers 48 29 victory. Friday, is not known at this time, Chico High athletic director Chip Carton said Saturday. The game could be at either University Stadium on the Chico State campus, which hosts the teams' annual rivalry game, or Asgard Yard, the Vikings' home field. The Panthers have used Asgard as their home field as well for three seasons now because of rising costs to hold all of their games at University Stadium. But a contest at Asgard could possibly negate any home field advantage for the higher seeded Panthers, and a smaller seating capacity at Asgard could also translate to less revenue from the game.

Another factor, and a major one, could be the condition of University Stadium's field.

No matter where it's played the winner plays at nflfalconsofficial.com/Nike-Osi-Umenyiora-Jersey.html Paradise, which beat both teams this season. The other matchup is Foothill at Shasta, which the Wolves won 54 14 earlier this year. The winner plays at unbeaten Enterprise.

Divisions II, III and IV all have Jacquizz Rodgers Authentic Jersey eight team brackets since there are at least 10 teams in each division. For each bracket, the top half matchups are 1 vs. 8 and 4 vs. 5, while the bottom has 2 vs. 7 and 3 vs. 6.

In D II, Northern Athletic League champion West Valley hosts No. 8 Yreka and BVL champion Sutter is the second seed and hosts No. 7 Lassen in the first round. The winner of Sutter Lassen plays the winner of No. 3 Central Valley and No. 6 Wheatland.

Orland held on to the fourth seed based on point standings and hosts No. 5 Corning despite the Cardinals winning their head to head matchup 27 13 on Oct. 11. Based on the seeding criteria, a team has to be within 1.5 points of another for the head to head tiebreaker to be in play. Orland's overall and league record, and strength of schedule points combined for 20.87 while Corning was 19.00.

Division III had one flip due to head to head with Willows beating Hamilton. A 26 13 Willows victory on Oct. 4 allows the No. 4 Honkers to host the No. 5 Braves. Top seeded Colusa hosts No. 8 Williams, second seeded and co Sacramento Valley League champion Durham hosts No. 7 Pierce, and No. 3 Trinity hosts No. 6 Winters.

In D IV, Maxwell handed Biggs its lone loss of the year and took over the No. 1 spot. Two head to head tiebreakers were in effect with Chester's win over Etna putting the Volcanoes in the No. 4 seed. Portola's 43 26 win over Weed gave the Tigers the head to head swap for the sixth seed.
